Despite this, the French daily L’Equipe points out that the extension of the contract was never considered in the meeting between the footballer and the club and Kylian Mbappe still claims that he will not extend the contract until 2025.
According to information from the French newspaper, the French star may give away some money as a gesture of gratitude for returning to the team.
It is estimated that the amount that Mbappe would forgive would mean a saving of 100-150 million euros for PSG, a gesture that ‘L’Equipe’ describes as a ‘personal sacrifice’.
Mbappe has already made it clear on several occasions that he intends to leave the club when his contract expires in 2024.
