Real Madrid and Germany icon Toni Kroos is generally not one to hide his views, but his latest opinion has taken social media by storm.
Celta Vigo star Gabri Veiga is expected to move to Saudi Arabia in the coming hours, following reports from Fabrizio Romano.
Veiga and Celta have both agreed a deal with Al Ahli, and after a stalled deal with Napoli, Veiga will leave European football at the age of 21.
The young Spain international had been linked with a number of top clubs throughout the summer and is regarded as one of the brightest talents in Europe, but Kroos did not think much of his decision to move to Saudi Arabia.
“Embarrassing,” was the only word summed up by Kroos, who commented on Romano’s reporting of Veigas’ transfer.
Many will sympathize with Kroos’ mentality, not realizing that a footballer with the potential to reach the top would move to a lower league for a bigger salary.
