The Portuguese representative had traveled to Munich, where he had passed the medical tests with the Bavarian club, and the presentation photos were ready.

But in the end his formalization did not happen, as Fulham failed to find a replacement for him and in the end blocked Palhinha’s transfer to Bayern.

This has made Bayern nervous about the fact that they failed to find a replacement for Ryan Gravenberch, who they sold to Liverpool.

In addition, two more transfers fell through for Bayern in the final minutes of the transfer window.

The Bavarians wanted to bring Armel Bella Kotchap from Southampton and Trevor Chalobah from Chelsea.

In the end none of these players worked out at Bayern, meaning Thomas Tuchel was left without a target replacement for Benjamin Pavard, who left for Inter.
