Sergio Rico left the hospital a month ago after spending 82 days there. Now he gave his first interview since leaving the hospital and this one for PSG’s club television.
We remember that Rico had a big accident where a frightened horse threw him from behind and then hit him with its hoof on the head and neck, causing him to lose consciousness.
He was soon transferred to intensive care, where it was determined that there was no damage to his spine, but if the injury had been only half an inch deeper, doctors say, he would have died on the spot.
Now, aware of this fact, he is grateful that everything turned out well after all.
“In a few days I have new tests where the doctors will tell me what happened to the aneurysm I had. Maybe then they will allow me to do some sport, I would like to get back in shape and to Paris. My goal is to return to the team before the end of this season”, said Rico.
The Spaniard revealed what he said after he woke up from his coma.
“After the accident, I had no memory problems. I immediately recognized my family and friends, but I had no recollection of the accident. “Right after I woke up, I asked the doctors if I would play football again,” declared Rico.
