The 77th minute was taking place in the match that Getafe was playing with Osasuna and the result was 2-2. The local coach, Jose Bordalas, signaled the Englishman to get ready to enter the game.

Greenwood entered the field to replace former Real Madrid player Juanmi Latasa, the fans welcomed him with huge applause.

This was the first time Greenwood had played a football match for the first time in 20 months, while his last appearance dates back to January last year, in the match that Manchester United held against West Ham.
