Chelsea fear Real could lure Reece James to Madrid

Real Madrid have been following the progress of Reece James for a long time, and it has been reported on numerous occasions that the Madrid side consider him a suitable candidate for the right-back position.

So far, the Englishman has shown no signs of dissatisfaction at the London club, where he received the captain’s armband and was given a long-term contract.

But, as reported by the English media, if Chelsea’s poor form continues, the 23-year-old could change his mind.

Dean Jones, journalist in the medium ‘Give Me Sport’, has said that Reece James is aware of the interest from Real Madrid.

“Reece James is aware of the interest from Real Madrid, but at the moment he is focused only on Chelsea”, said Jones initially.

Further, he added that Chelsea should take care of themselves as soon as possible otherwise in the future Reece James may consider leaving London.

“The only thing Chelsea have to worry about is if the season goes badly. Reece James is committed, but if they repeat last season, and Real Madrid make a bid, he has a decision to make. Rejecting Real Madrid’s offer would not be easy,” he concluded.

Reece James is currently sidelined since August 13, as the number of games he has missed this season has reached six.
