Barcelona’s top target will be available on a fixed fee next summer

Bernardo Silva has a £50m (€58m) release clause that will be active from next summer, writes Fabrizio Romano.

It currently seems difficult to see Barca being able to afford the attacking midfielder for his transfer money and wages.

However, the move will be possible if there is a major sale next year, as there is an affordability clause.

The Portuguese has been Barca’s main target for more than a year. However, the Catalans struggled to match Manchester City’s asking price.

Earlier, it was reported that Barcelona would likely look for the Portuguese star again if Pablo Torre (on loan at Girona) and Fermin Lopez were not ready to shoulder the burden this season.

Bernardo Silva has so far scored one goal and provided one assist in five appearances for Man City this season.
