Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola laughed when asked about Manchester United’s start to the season.
Ahead of the Citizens’ Champions League match against Crvena Zvezda, Guardiola was asked about United, to which he laughed.
“Well, they didn’t start as expected, like Chelsea. But always, they are Man United, and Chelsea sooner or later will pick up the pace”, declared Guardiola.
However, Guardiola was quick to point out that there is plenty of competition.
“You know how strong Arsenal are, you saw it at Goodison Park yesterday, they are incredible. Liverpool again, the mentality will continue there”, underlined Pep.
After a season that featured the likes of Mason Mount, Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Sergio Reguillon, many expected Erik ten Hag to challenge Man City for the Premier League title.
However, it has been a terrible start for the Old Trafford club as they have collected just six points from a possible 15.
Man City, meanwhile, are on top with a perfect record so far.
