Neymar plans to leave Saudi Arabia

Neymar is reportedly plotting a move away from Al-Hilal, with the Brazilian eyeing a return to Santos ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

The 31-year-old in search of a new challenge in his career moved to Saudi Arabia, more precisely to the Al-Hilal team.

There were claims that the Brazilian star has accepted a four-year contract with the club from the Middle East but it turns out not to be the case.

According to Brazilian journalist Ademir Quintino, the former Barcelona and PSG star will return to Santos in 2025.

Quintino announced this through a post on social networks: “During the conversations with Neymar’s teammates, I received information that they did not sign a four-year contract but instead signed a two-year contract in order to return to Santos a season before the start of the World Cup. Neymar was offered to Santos and asked for a return. Neymar and I have mutual friends, whom I will not mention by name, but he has a great desire to return to Santos”, he wrote.

Neymar who is Brazil’s all-time top scorer has featured in just three matches for Al-Hilal so far and is still waiting for his first goal.

He has never hidden the fact that at some stage in his career he will return to Santos, and this plan seems to soon become a reality.
