Chelsea has started singing after a disastrous start this season in the Premier League.
But a big change is set to happen, as Chelsea’s management have decided to change their transfer policy to give Mauricio Pochettino more power, claims Fabrizio Romano.
In recent years, the Chelsea board have decided to sign some players they like, even if the manager doesn’t like them.
However, they have now changed this attitude. Pochettino will get his say in deciding which players Chelsea will sign in the January and summer 2024 transfer windows.
The board will decide on the players together with the coach, rather than deciding which players to bring in on their own.
Pochettino played a key role in ensuring Chelsea did not sign Dusan Vlahovic in the summer after he was against the Serbian’s move to Stamford Bridges.
Chelsea are expected to strengthen in January as well, but now it will be Mauricio Pochettino who will be asked about the players who will be approaching.
