Lautaro Martinez is the man of the moment this season at Inter thanks to his goals.
The Argentinian striker has taken the captain’s armband and has become unstoppable for the black team, scoring in almost every game.
After 11 matches between Serie A and the Champions League, the Argentinian star has 12 goals and two assists, showing exceptional form.
His current contract with Inter expires in the summer of 2026, while the parties are in talks over a new contract which would keep him until 2028 at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Of course, there will be a salary increase for the Argentinian from the six he currently earns to 7.5 million euros per season.
Calciomercato has reported that in addition to the salary increase, Inter are considering putting an exit clause on their captain in order to ward off interested teams.
The Neroazzurri are working to set their star a release clause of 180 million euros, and this has been accepted by Lautaro and his agents.
It is not an amount that is not paid by the English or Arab teams, however at Inter they want to make sure that even if the player leaves then they win well.
