Barcelona plans to sell Frenkie de Jong

Barcelona is ready to sell Frenkie de Jong at the end of the season.

This is according to Ok Diario’s chief expert, Eduardo Inda in an interview with El Chiringuito.

De Jong resisted a move to Manchester United in both the 2022 summer transfer window and last January’s deadline.

However, Inda reports that Barça may look to sell to help ease the new financial pressure: “Barça can do without an important player.”

“There are players who are entering the transfer market. Barca’s academy is impressive. The Guiu thing is a crazy thing. He is a player who has great potential, for whom they can collect a lot of money, which Barça needs.”

“That player who can leave is a Dutch footballer, who is definitely De Jong”, he added.

Barcelona must sell this summer if they want to keep Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo – both on loan from Atletico Madrid and Manchester City respectively.
