Thiago Silva has entered his fourth year as part of the London side Chelsea.
However, this year is expected to be the last for the Brazilian at Stamford Bridges, as his contract also expires on June 30, 2024.
His contract expires at the end of the season and there is no hope of a renewal considering the Brazilian’s age.
The 39-year-old, however, does not intend to stop playing as he will continue for several more seasons as long as the physical aspect allows him to do so.
His former team Fluminese has expressed a desire to bring Thiago Silva back to Brazil, but the player has not yet decided whether he will return to his homeland or continue his career in Europe.
The player himself has expressed his happiness in London and the possibility of remaining with another London team is not ruled out, however, leaving Chelsea is now certain at the end of the season.
Silva has shown fantastic form this season as well, playing nine games as a starter in the Premier League with Chelsea’s jersey.
