The goalkeeper of Bayern Munich and the German national team, Manuel Neuer will defend in tomorrow’s match (Saturday) against Darmstadt, the coach of the German champion Thomas Tuchel has confirmed.
Neuer has been sidelined since early December last year when he broke his right leg while skiing.
However, the 37-year-old’s wait has come to an end and the German will return to his place as Bayern’s starting goalkeeper.
“He will defend tomorrow if nothing unexpected happens today. He is excited, we are excited, a lot of people are excited about it,” Tuchel initially said.
“I am confident that he will be fit soon and now we will trust his intuition and experience.”
“He needs matches. He is ready for them for a few weeks and now he will have his chance”, concluded the coach of the Bavarians.
Neuer made 489 appearances for Bayern and won 27 trophies, including ten German league titles and two Champions League titles.
