Arda Guler yet to debut with Real Madrid, Ancelotti confirms the Turk’s next injury

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Arda Guler will not play against Valencia on Saturday night after picking up another injury in training.

Guler had been in the Real Madrid squad for the last two games for the first time after two consecutive injuries since his move from Fenerbahce.

However, the Turkish star was seen training in the gym rather than on the pitch today (Friday), prompting manager Ancelotti to explain his absence.

“Unfortunately it happened before the match against Braga. It keeps bothering him, it’s not a serious thing… he’s obviously depressed because he wants to play.”

“It’s a step back, but it’s not a comeback. We have the entire international break to recover as best as possible,” Ancelotti said.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his debut for Los Blancos after arriving in July in a €25 million move from Fenerbahce.

After a meniscus injury that required surgery, the muscle problem and now apparently another muscle problem, Guler will work with the doctors again.
