UEFA has announced what the ball that will be played in the 2024 European Championship matches in Germany looks like.
The Adidas-branded ball will be called Fussballliebe, which translates as “love of football”, and was unveiled today (Wednesday) at a special event at Berlin’s Olympiastadion.
Fussballliebe features adidas Connected Ball Technology for the first time in a European Championship – providing unprecedented insight into every element of ball movement and contributing to the decision-making process of UEFA’s video assistants.
The outer shell of the ball is supported within it by CTR-CORE which is designed for precision and durability, supporting fast, precise play with maximum shape and air retention.
Anyone can buy the ball at the price of 150 euros, it was announced on the official website of the German manufacturer.
“The European Championship represents the pinnacle of European national competition. We are committed to ensuring that every aspect, from the pitch to the equipment, is of the highest quality.”
“As always, we are confident that the adidas Fussballliebe ball will mark another step in our shared commitment to excellence,” said Croatian national team legend Zvonimir Boban, who now works as UEFA’s technical director.
The European Championship in Germany will be the 17th edition of this competition.
It will be held from June 14 to July 14 in ten cities: Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart.
