Ivan Toney is yet to play this season but his name continues to be linked with a move away from Brentford.
The England striker is suspended for earlier betting and will not be eligible to play until January 17, 2024.
However, despite not having played at all, Toney is the target of the two English giants Chelsea and Arsenal who see him as the ideal footballer to strengthen the offensive department.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Brentford until 2025, but the club are asking to extend it in order to sell him for a much higher price.
The Sun have reported that Toney has agreed to extend his contract with Brentford until the summer of 2027, when the club will sell him in January.
The ‘bees’ aim to earn 90 million euros from the departure of the English striker to Chelsea or Arsenal.
Although it seems like an extremely large amount, it is no surprise that Toney’s move to Stamford Bridges or the Emirates Stadium will eventually happen for this amount considering that the English giants often spend huge sums on the transfer of footballers.
