Ancelotti reveals Real Madrid’s plans for the January transfer window

Carlo Ancelotti has spoken about Real Madrid’s plans to sign a striker during the January transfer window.

Real Madrid are currently in great form in La Liga as they are unbeaten since their defeat to Atletico Madrid in September this year.

They have also secured passage into the last 16 of the Champions League after collecting 15 points in the group by winning all their matches.

The Italian coach has confirmed that the club will not make any moves during the January transfer window, thus dispelling rumors linking Real Madrid with several players, with Icardi being the most recent case.

Los Blancos have made five signings in the summer transfer window, signing Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. They have also signed Joselu on loan from Espanyol to replace Karim Benzema who left for Saudi Arabia.

This season, Ancelotti has applied a new 4-4-2 diamond formation with Rodrygo and Vinicius leading the attack and Bellingham behind them.

This change in tactics has worked for them so far as they have scored 44 goals in all competitions this season.

The English midfielder is Real Madrid’s top scorer at the moment with 15 goals, followed by Rodrygo who has eight so far.

So far, the 64-year-old has full faith in his squad but Vinicius’ injury could cause him to change his mind when the transfer window opens.

Vinicius has already been confirmed to be out for 10 weeks following the injury he picked up during the build-up to Brazil.

Real Madrid will face Granada today (Saturday) starting at 18:30 at “Santiago Bernabeu”.¬†
