Joao Palhinha is Bayern Munich’s top target for the midfield department, with the German giants eyeing a January move.

In fact, the Bavarians were very close to securing his services in the summer, but the transfer of the Portuguese to Munich failed in the last minutes.

The Lusitanian midfielder had also passed the medical tests with the Bavarians, but in the end Fulham stopped the transfer as they could not find a replacement for him.

The 28-year-old continues to be the subject of speculation about his future and now has interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.

The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their midfield, considering the sale of Casemiro and the possible departure of Donny van de Beek in January.

On the other hand, Liverpool, despite strengthening their midfield in the summer, remain attentive to market opportunities, especially with the uncertainty over Thiago Alcántara’s contract, which expires in June 2024 and the Spaniard could leave in the winter transfer window.

However, even though the two English giants have shown interest in the Portuguese, his transfer will not be easy as Palhinha prefers to move to Munich.

However, Fulham aims to earn around 60 million euros from his sale.
