“If Real Madrid wants me to stay, we can negotiate” – Ancelotti opens the door for contract renewal

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Real Madrid if the club come up with an offer.

The veteran coach, whose contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, 2024, has revealed that he is ready to negotiate a new contract with Los Blancos if the club have one.

“I answer easily: my contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, 2024, so this is the period of time we have to discuss the renewal. If Real Madrid wants to negotiate, I will have no problem.”

“I’m still a coach and that’s the most important thing. There is time to think, what I want is to win these two games and have a quiet Christmas”, said the great Italian coach.

Ancelotti was initially expected to leave the Spanish giants at the end of his contract.

He was expected to join Brazil as their head coach with Brazilian Football Federation president Ednaldo Rodrigues confirming earlier this year that the Italian will take charge of the Selecao ahead of the 2024 Copa America.

Several coaches such as Xabi Alonso, Raul and Roberto De Zerbi have been linked to replace Ancelotti at the end of the season.
