Life at PSG has gotten off to the perfect start for Kylian Mbappe, with the forward scoring on his debut in a 5-1 win away to Metz on Friday night.

The young forward has joined the club on an initial season-long loan deal before joining Unai Emery’s side permanently next summer for a fee in the region of £165 million.

PSG took the lead through Edinson Cavani before the opposition were reduced to ten men, and Mbappe duly punished that as he fired home from just outside the box to give the Parisians a 2-1 lead before goals from Neymar, Cavani and Lucas Moura secured the victory.

The 18-year-old attempted to play a through ball over the top, which was cut out by the Metz defence, only for the former Monaco man to drive it back home first time into the bottom corner to send the away fans into raptures. The France international impressed throughout, also grabbing an assist in his first appearance for his new club.

PSG now have five wins from five to sit top of Ligue 1 after steaming past Amiens, Guingamp, Toulouse and Saint-Etienne.

With Mbappe, Neymar, Cavani and Angel Di Maria in their ranks, few can look past them when it comes to deciding who will win the title this campaign. An attack as devastating as this one will also do the French side’s chances of Champions League glory no harm, as they look to improve on their record in recent seasons and secure an elusive European crown.

The future certainly looks bright for them as of now.
