Four defeats in the last five games of the Premier League proved fatal for the fate of coach Frank Lampard at Everton. The 44-year-old could not achieve the objectives at the head of the team that this season claimed to be ranked at least in the middle of the classification and ended up being fired. Now, club officials have immediately set to work to find Lampard’s replacement with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri demanding a quick solution, at least within 10 days.

Meanwhile, the British media announce that there are two alternatives for the “Tofees” to replace Lampard. The first is Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentine is currently uncommitted as he knows the Premier League well, having recently managed Leeds United for four years. The second name that can take the leadership of Everton is Wayne Rooney.

The latter was part of Everton at the beginning of his career and may now be tempted to try this experience in another role. Anyway, at the moment Rooney is in charge of DC United in America, while it is worth mentioning the fact that last season, the former striker refused the bench of Everton.
