Manchester United would be Chelsea star Mason Mount’s preferred destination if he leaves his boyhood club.
The English attacking midfielder’s contract expires at the end of next season with the Stamford Bridge team.
Mount, who h as not agreed to a renewal, will be put up for sale when the transfer window opens unless an agreement can be found between the parties.
Interest in the English star has not abated as clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with his signature in recent months.
However, according to The Athletic, Mount is leaning towards a move to United, ahead of other teams chasing his signature.
A move to United is far from certain, but the first step would be for Mount to officially declare that he will not renew at Chelsea.
