On the field, it has been a great season for Vinicius Junior, who has taken on Karim Benzema’s ‘mantle’ to become the star of Real Madrid. However, apart from this, he has had to deal with numerous incidents of racist abuse.

The situation came to a head during Real Madrid’s visit to Valencia last month, with Vinicius Jr angrily pointing out a fan who had racially abused him during the match.

According to TNTSports, since then, many people have called on La Liga to take more action regarding incidents of player abuse, and former Real Madrid star Casemiro is the latest to do so.

“We are concerned by the fact that there are still such people. It is not the first time that Vinicius Jr complains, he complains a lot. I think that La Liga should take measures, because they cannot lose such a player”, said Casemiro first.

Given the abuse Vinicius Jr has received from rival supporters this season, Casemiro also admitted he would not be surprised to see his compatriot leave Real Madrid.

“I’m happy that he’s at Real Madrid, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wanted to leave, if he wanted to do other things,” concluded the Brazilian.

Currently, Vinicius Jr has no plans to leave Real Madrid, which is very good news for the Madrid team, as the 22-year-old is quickly becoming one of the best players in world football.
