Carlo Ancelotti has given his opinion on claims that Paris Saint-Germain are set to lodge a complaint regarding Real Madrid’s actions over Kylian Mbappe’s future.

The Los Blancos coach was speaking to the media ahead of his side’s pre-season friendly with Juventus tomorrow (August 3). He was asked about reports that claim the Parisians will take the case regarding the striker and the Spanish club to FIFA.

“PSG is filing a complaint against Real Madrid? I’m not surprised at all. I don’t know about this issue. It’s something political that I’m not involved in. I leave political things,” said Ancelotti.

Reports in the French media mean that PSG is determined to appeal to FIFA with a complaint about Los Blancos. There is a belief among the players at the Parc des Princes that Mbappe has a deal in place with the La Liga giants to join them next summer.

It is for this reason that the Parisians believe the 24-year-old is refusing to extend his contract with the Ligue 1 champions. If the 24-year-old has reached an agreement with Real Madrid for a transfer in 2024, it breaks FIFA rules.

Any pre-contract agreement between the France captain and Los Merengues should take place next January or beyond. He will become a free agent next summer after continuing to reject PSG’s offers for a new deal.

Mbappe was the standout player for the Parisians last season, scoring 41 goals and 10 assists in 43 games in all competitions. He has long been on Madrid’s radar and many expect him to move to the Bernabeu either this summer or next year.
