Real Madrid have renewed their interest in signing Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, reports Diario Sport.

Barcelona are set to face competition from their rivals for the teenager, who they want to sign to compete with Dani Carvajal.

Fresneda trained in Los Blancos’ academy and they are now trying to pry him from their rivals.

Barça are said to have made an offer to Valladolid for Fresneda, but it is not worth €20m – as much as his card is worth.

Xavi insisted after the Milan clash that signing a right-back is a priority and he is reported to consider Fresneda a key target.

The 18-year-old made 22 appearances in La Liga last season and were extremely impressive, earning the attention of the La Liga giants.
