In another twist to this ever-moving transfer saga, Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo has reportedly made a decision on his next move.

It’s been described as “the most incredible transfer saga of the summer” by Fabrizio Romano and we couldn’t agree more.

After weeks of speculation, it looked like the saga was over as Liverpool agreed a British record transfer fee of €127 million with Brighton for the Ecuador international.

Romano himself said on Sunday night that Caicedo would become a Liverpool player on Friday if ‘everything goes to plan’.

And on Monday, Jurgen Klopp confirmed a deal had been agreed at his latest press conference.

“I was told that I can confirm that the agreement with the club has been agreed. Whatever this means exactly in the end we will see,” said Klopp.

But hours later, the highly-rated midfielder appeared to be having “second thoughts”.

Now, it appears that Caicedo has informed Liverpool that he only wants to join Chelsea.

According to Romano, the midfielder has decided to keep his word and only accept Chelsea as personal terms have been agreed since the end of May.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will make another bid to complete the deal with Brighton.
