After the last round of talks, Milan are said to have started to move away from Hugo Ekitike due to the high demands of Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds have been on the lookout for a new striker, keen to bolster Stefano Pioli’s forward line following the departures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ante Rebic, as 36-year-old Olivier Giroud continues to play a key role in the squad.

Milan opened talks with PSG recently to begin discussing a potential move for Ekitike, who struggled for consistent minutes in Ligue 1 last season.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have started to move away from Ekitike due to the fact that PSG are not open to a loan deal with a stability clause, except for very high figures.

The Reds are now evaluating other options to replace Lorenzo Colombo, who is set to make the move to Monza.

Milan now have a week to secure a new striker and have decided not to sign a new left-back in order to focus their efforts on the forward line.
