Milan are pushing to reach an agreement with Porto for striker Mehdi Taremi and will continue negotiations today (Tuesday).
The Reds have decided to focus on the 31-year-old striker to strengthen Stefano Pioli’s front line and they are in close contact with Porto, who initially put a €30m price tag on the Iranian.
Milan offered 15 million euros to Porto for Tarem and the player has already made it clear that he wants to move to San Siro.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Porto are now willing to accept around €20m for Tarem, who has just one year left on his contract with the club.
Milan will continue negotiations with the Portuguese team today, while they try to close the difference of five million euros between the offer and the demand.
A major obstacle is coach Sergio Conceicao, who is still unhappy with Otavio’s move to Al-Nassr and doesn’t want to lose Tarem as well.
If Milan fail to agree a deal for Tarem in time, they would keep Lorenzo Colombo instead of sending him to Monza on loan.
