Martin Odegaard has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal and he feels happy about it, as he calls the Emirates club his home.
The Norway international is now in his fourth season with Arsenal, having initially joined on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021.
Odegaard was named Arsenal’s player of the year last season where he excelled scoring 15 Premier League goals while leading the team as captain.
After superior performances, the Emirates club have decided to arm the Norwegian with a new five-year contract, which runs until June 2028.
“Our captain Martin Odegaard has signed a new long-term contract with the club,” Arsenal said in a statement.
After the signing of the contract, Odegaard himself also spoke, who showed that he feels happy to play in such a special club.
“I’m very excited about what’s to come here. I have found a place that I can truly settle down and call my home. At Arsenal, from the first day, I felt good and this is definitely my home”, said Odegaard first.
“Signing a new contract was a really easy decision for me, what we are doing now as a club is special and I want to be a part of it,” concluded the midfielder.
