Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an excellent answer when asked about the points difference between his team and Manchester City.

Arsenal drew in the last game 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates, missing an opportunity to remain “in the shadow” of their rivals, City.

Speaking to reporters earlier this week, Arteta was asked about the four-point gap between Manchester City and Arsenal in the table.

“We are not thinking about it. We are trying to win our games. We tried to win the game again [against Tottenham]”, Arteta said first.

“We did not succeed for very clear reasons. That’s it, and we have to improve. “Injuries are already a test because we missed five big players.”

“But this is what we have. It also empowers others. We have a game every three days and this is the level we have to show,” concluded the Arsenal coach.

Arsenal are now four points behind in the Premier League table with Pep Guardiola’s side having won all six of their 2023/24 games.
