Reece James has been handed a one-match ban for his brawl after Chelsea’s defeat to Aston Villa – a game he did not play in.
The Blues captain was last week accused of using abusive language towards referee Jared Gillet in their 1-0 defeat last month.
The incident happened after the match, which the defender missed due to injury.
And FA officials have handed him a one-match ban for breaching FA Rule E3.
James’ one-match ban means he will not be available for selection for Chelsea’s trip to Turf Moor on Saturday to face Burnley.
James, however, was set to miss the game with the thigh injury that kept him out of the game against Villa last month.
He was also fined over 100,000 euros, while he will have the right to appeal.
