Manchester United’s players must find the fire within themselves if they are to save their season.
Coach Erik ten Hag has stepped up to take responsibility for his team’s dismal form this season.
However, he admits that only the players who take to the pitch for games can transform a club’s season.
“Yes, I understand, they can expect responsibility from the team, for the performance, for the result with my team,” Ten Hag told reporters after a humiliating Champions League home defeat to Galatasaray.
“At this moment we don’t get results, they are disappointed, we have to do better”.
“As I said, I also saw a team with great spirit and also a team that was supported by the crowd from start to finish.”
“In the end, the fans are as disappointed as we are. We are also very disappointed. But that should also be fuel, and that’s the good thing about this team. How many times they find the energy in every match, at the beginning of every game”.
“It was a team with a lot of energy and a good motivation that entered the game”, added the Dutch coach.
