Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ivan Toney is more likely than Victor Osimhen to move to Chelsea during the January transfer window.
The Blues of London have been linked with a number of attackers for the upcoming transfer window, while the expert Romano h as recently spoken about the possibility of a transfer.
“With Chelsea, a new striker will certainly be discussed before the January deadline,” Romano initially told Caught Offside.
“For the forward position, we already know of links with Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen, and of course either of them would be a big signing.”
“For Osimha, however, I still think that a departure in January from Napoli seems difficult”, concluded the transfer expert.
Toney is currently suspended until January 16, 2024, for his bookmaking activities.
He may need some time to settle into the game, but he is a proven striker in the Premier League, with 32 goals in 66 appearances in the competition.
Osimhen, meanwhile, would cost a fortune despite his contract expiring in 2025 – Napoli know how to cash in on their best players.
The Nigerian has scored 65 goals in 111 appearances in all competitions for the Italian team.
