Real Madrid smile, Endrick shines with two super goals in Palmeiras crazy comeback

Future Real Madrid star Endrick Felipe produced a superb performance, scoring twice in his Palmeiras side’s comeback win over Botafogo.

Endrick has had a difficult second season in the professional game, losing his starting spot for a while and admitting that the media spotlight has taken a toll on him.

While by any other 17-year-old’s standards it has been a strong season, there have been concerns about his form at various points, but today in his mind he reminded Madridistas why Los Blancos spent up to €60m on the teenager.

Botafogo took a 3-0 lead against Palmeiras after goals from Carlos Eduardo, Tche Tche and Junior Santos inside 36 minutes.

Knowing that the win would eliminate Palmerias from the title race, Endrick took the reins by leading his team’s big comeback in the second half.

Endrick scored two fine goals for his side, with the first coming just five minutes into the second half thanks to a bursting drive past several opponents to make it 3-1.

The 17-year-old proved to be a killer even in the 84th minute by scoring from a distance for 3-2 and this goal motivated his team even more that in the 90th minute they equalized the score and scored the winning goal 4-3 in extra time .

Botafogo are league leaders after 31 rounds, three points clear of second-placed Palmeiras and as things stand, Endrick will have the chance to end his last full season in Serie A with the title.

His goals were proof of the incredible talent he has within himself and he has proven this by scoring 7 goals from 24 games this season.
