The secret clauses of Cole Palmer’s transfer to Chelsea are revealed

Cole Palmer’s move to Chelsea will bring Manchester City a small profit.

The Blues’ last-gasp hero broke former manager Pep Guardiola’s heart with a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

It was Palmer’s fourth goal for Chelsea since completing an initial €50 million move from City in the summer.

And his excellent form has been rewarded with a call-up to the England first team.

Palmer will be hoping to make his debut in Friday’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Malta.

Failing that, he will get another chance to play under Gareth Southgate in Monday’s clash with North Macedonia.

And if Palmer takes the field in every Group C game, SunSport understands Chelsea will have to pay City a small extra fee.

But, it will be a modest amount since the total of all additions in the agreement of 50 million euros was about three million euros.

The rest of the fee is likely to consist of Chelsea-related appearances, goals and trophy wins.
