“Bellingham is from another planet” – The president of La Liga has big words for the Englishman

Jude Belligham’s impressive start to the season with Real Madrid has resulted in an increase in the popularity of La Liga in the United Kingdom, La Liga president Javier Tebas has said.

Bellingham has already scored 13 goals and registered three assists in just 14 La Liga and Champions League appearances since joining them from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been hailed as one of the best players in the world due to his spectacular form and La Liga president Tebas says he has brought more eyes from the UK to Spain’s football elite.

“It’s only been a few months, it’s too early to know the full extent, but at the viewing levels from the United States, Bellingham has a huge impact on our league,” Tebas said.

“He is an important player and the United Kingdom and other English-speaking areas have withdrawn from our league because of him. Bellingham is a good player, we knew he was a great player, but we didn’t realize the level he could reach, at Real Madrid it’s like he’s from another planet.”

Bellingham had to withdraw from England’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers due to injury.

He is expected to return to action after the break with the national team, when Real Madrid face Cadiz in La Liga on November 26.
