Luka Modric’s agent has revealed that the Real Madrid midfielder is open to a move to the Saudi League if a “suitable offer” comes their way.

The 38-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best footballers in history, thanks to his outstanding performances during his 12-year career as a Real Madrid player.

The Croatian star has won the Champions League five times during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu and was crowned the winner of the Ballon d’Or for his performances for club and country in 2018, becoming Real’s eighth player Madrid that wins this award.

Modric rejected offers from MLS and the Saudi League in the summer in favor of signing a one-year deal with Los Blancos, but is now ‘suffering’ from a lack of minutes as he has started just four La Liga games this season. . This has led to rumors of a move away from the club increasing recently.

He has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving Real Madrid any further than in January, after an open and honest conversation with Carlo Ancelotti about the limited minutes this season.

His agent Borja Couce confirmed this news in an interview, saying that there is a possibility of Modric’s departure from the capital of Spain.

“This summer there was interest in Modric from Saudi Arabia who wanted to sign him. “Modric is currently only thinking about Real Madrid, but the idea of moving to the Saudi League is possible if the offer is suitable,” said Modric’s agent.

If he moves to Arabia, Modric would join his former teammate Karim Benzema, who this summer left for the Middle East, more precisely to the Al-Ittihad club, where he will receive 516 million euros in a three-year agreement.
