‘He’s a clear winner’ – Isco believes Bellingham was a deserving winner of the ‘Golden Boy’ award

Earlier this month, Jude Bellingham was crowned the winner of the ‘Golden Boy 2023’ award. The 20-year-old won the award following his excellent performances for Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, as he beat the likes of Jamal Musiala, Alejandro Balde and Antonio Silva to claim the award.

While some people thought Bellingham was an undeserved winner, former Real Madrid midfielder Isco did not.

The Spanish midfielder believes that Bellingham’s performances for Los Blancos were enough for him to deserve the award.

“We’ve all seen how he performs, haven’t we? He is the clear winner for everything he is doing, especially his goals. He has been so decisive. He won several games for Real Madrid on several occasions and I don’t think anyone deserves it as much as he does,” said Isco.

Bellingham has been one of the main figures of La Liga this season, but Isco is not bad either, who with his appearances with Real Betis seems to have returned to his best days.

The Englishman had a recent injury problem which ruled him out of the games against Braga and Valencia but he has now fully recovered and will be available to Ancelotti for the weekend’s away game against Cadiz.
