Dani Carvajal did not feature after the break in Real Madrid’s 2-0 home win against Granada last weekend.
After the match, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the defender had suffered a muscle strain.
“I had to frame Lucas Vazquez because Dani seems to have a muscle overload. He will undergo tests”, announced Ancelotti.
These tests have now confirmed that Carvajal has suffered a plantar muscle injury in his left leg. It is a serious injury that will keep him out for a considerable period.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Carvajal will be out for three to four weeks and he is set to return for the Spanish Super Cup in January.
It’s another blow for Real Madrid who already have seven players injured.
