Real Madrid advance for the transfer of Davies

Real Madrid will be heavily linked with Kylian Mbappe in the coming weeks, but the latest in the Spanish capital is that Alphonso Davies is Los Blancos’ number one target. While Real Madrid will pursue Erling Haaland if Mbappe decides against a move, Davies is considered the perfect signing to lock down the left wing.

According to Diario AS media , Davies, who is still in talks with Bayern Munich for a new deal, is asking for 15 million euros per year, a figure that makes life very difficult for the Bavarian team.

The 23-year-old is out of contract in 2025 and Real Madrid think they can get him on the cheap next summer after his contract expires.

His demands had initially been around €12 million, but with talks breaking down in May due to internal chaos at Bayern and interest from Real Madrid growing, agent Nedal Huoseh has backed Bayern into a corner by demanding a salary that would make him among the highest paid players in Germany.

According to the medium Relevo , in Real Madrid they consider the negotiations ‘very advanced’ and there is a strong optimism that once they have an agreement with Davies, then they will be able to force Bayern to sell him.

Therefore their attempts to sell Ferland Mendy, knowing that Davies will take over from next season, are very legitimate.

If Davies joins Real Madrid, he is unlikely to earn €15 million. Los Blancos have been tight-lipped about their wage structure, and with the likes of Jude Bellingham earning around €12m a year, if Davies wants to move to Spain, it will require some salary sacrifice.
